Advocacy for Montessori Education

The New Jersey Montessori Association Corporation is NJ's State Montessori Organization representing and empowering Montessori schools within our state. Our Mission Statement encompasses all efforts to keep Montessori education strong and flourishing. NJMAC has continued to grow and evolve to meet our members' needs since it's inception.

In 2018 GrowNJKids granted a letter of acceptance to our Board member, Melanie Thiesse due to her efforts at making this state-sponsored Quality Rating and Improvement System accessible to her school and many other Montessori schools across New Jersey.

Please join us in building a coalition to access new opportunities and meet our current challenges by sharing information and feedback on the NJ Montessori Community Participation in Advocacy Efforts form.

Your response will be useful to us in assisting you directly and in collecting data to help in our advocacy efforts for securing and growing access to Montessori education in our state.

The NJMAC Public Policy And Advocacy Committee

At the NJMAC Fall 2023 Membership meeting, our members voted to form our first Public Policy and Advocacy Committee in accordance with NJMAC's mission and By-laws This committee's overarching purpose will be to provide a unified voice representing all Montessori schools in New Jersey when advocating to strengthen Montessori education in our state. It will also focus on keeping our members informed on public policy changes, advocacy opportunities and similar happenings in New Jersey and other states, that could have an impact on the quality and accessibility of Montessori education offered by our schools.
